Mosaics on Mac! That's the idea behind MacOSaiX, a tool that enables you to transform an image into a mosaic formed by many other images.
Select the photograph that you want to make into a mosaic, and the location of the images that you want to use to make the composition.
If you don't think your own images have sufficient quality, MacOSaiX allows you to use sources other than your hard drive, like Google, Glyphs, and Flickr.
Then all you need to do is determine the dimensions of the miniatures, and start the process. You may need to wait a little bit for the result, but it will be spectacular. Just wait and see!
Note
For Mac OS X 10.2 or later. Requires 10.3 or later to use iPhoto and QuickTime as image sources.

It is interesting to use a puzzle. My question is whether it is possible to add other puzzle shapes to have more options. And if possible, how is it done? I would like hexagonal, round, etc....
